We can also help you to ‘build an account’ by taking payments towards your surgical desires. A 5% discount is offered for surgeries paid by cash.

If the cost of cosmetic or reconstructive surgery is an issue and preventing you from having a procedure you desire, we do offer several financing options through Care Credit.

CareCredit works just like a credit card, but is exclusive for healthcare services. You can use your card over and over for follow-up appointments or different procedures. This means you don’t have to put your health and beauty on hold until you save up enough money. CareCredit allows you the power to decide when it’s the right time for you.
It’s easy to get started with CareCredit in three easy steps. You can apply at 800.365.8295. Prior to making financing arrangements with CareCredit, please contact one of our Patient Coordinators at 530.885.4151 so they may inform you regarding which plans we accept.

Insurance

We accept many health insurance plans. If your surgery is of a reconstructive nature or deemed medically necessary, it may be covered by insurance.

If your plastic surgery procedure is medically necessary and covered by health insurance, we will submit an insurance claim on your behalf. Check with your insurance plan to determine your specific benefits. Call our office to inquire about what plans we accept and needed referral information.

Cosmetic surgery is performed at our on-site, certified ambulatory surgery center. This center is certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (A.A.A.A.S.F.). Dr. Freed also has privileges at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in Auburn and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley. We offer 24-hour coverage in case of emergencies and our office is located near Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.

Patient Financial Policy

To schedule your surgery or a cosmetic procedure as an in-office procedure with
Dr. Freed, we require that you pay a $500.00 booking fee. The remaining balance will be due in full, two weeks prior at your Surgical Orientation (SO) appointment.

Because there are processing fees that are incurred when scheduling and coordinating surgery, $500.00 will be non-refundable if a surgery is cancelled and not re-booked 14 days or more prior to your scheduled surgery date. If your booking fee was paid by credit card, the refund will be applied back to the same account however you will be charged a 5% credit card processing fee.

Surgeries that are rescheduled will incur a $100.00 fee to cover administrative and staffing costs it takes to reschedule your surgery and corresponding appointments along with any supplies, products, and staff personnel that have been specifically booked or ordered for your original surgery date.

The practice of Dr. Jonathan Freed offers consultations, and our bilingual staff is available to answer any questions you might have. The consult fee is $50.00 and is applied to surgery when you book your appointment.
