Dr. Jonathan Freed earned his Bachelor of Science in human biology from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He then continued his studies at the school of medicine, completing his medical degree in 1990. Dr. Freed spent the next six years training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Dr. Freed is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the California Society of Plastic Surgery, and the Greater Sacramento Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Freed is the former chief of plastic surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon along with serving as a clinical instructor in plastic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. He also served as chief of plastic surgery at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, CA. As well as at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in Auburn, CA. He has hospital privileges at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in Auburn, CA. And at Sutter Roseville Medical Center in Roseville CA.
Community & Charitable
Dr. Freed has received various awards for his community service and has participated in multiple volunteer projects overseas. He has performed plastic surgery mission work in both India and Africa. Dr. Freed is involved with an organization called Here4Them, a faith-based ministry that provides medical and humanitarian services for people in Ethiopia. Pathways to Health is another organization that Dr. Freed donates his time to whenever he has the opportunity. Pathway to Health is a non-profit organization that exists to serve the physical needs of the under-served by providing entirely free mobile multi-specialty clinics that offer medical, surgical, dental, eye care, and other critical services.
